Neymar assists and suffers a penalty in his debut at Al-Hilal, but sees Arab idol ‘steal’ the protagonism

Neymar began his career in Saudi Arabian football on Friday, 15, in Al-Hilal’s 6-2 victory over Al-Riyahd, in a confrontation valid for the sixth round of the League. Even starting the match on the bench and entering the field only in the 20th minute of the second half, the Brazilian player had time to contribute with important moves. When the number 10 was called by coach Jorge Jesus, it is true, the home team already won with goals from Mitrovic and Yasir Al Shahrani.
The star of the Brazilian national team, however, was important in participating in the origin of Al Dawsari’s play and giving an assist to compatriot Malcolm. Already in the 43rd minute of the complementary stage, Neymar still suffered a penalty, but saw Al Dawsari catch the ball and convert – most of the fans asked the newcomer to hit. In the end, there was still time for the Saudi to score his third goal in the match, “stealing” the protagonism of the night.
One of the two greatest idols in the club’s history, Al Dawsari is also a national hero for writing down a painting in Saudi Arabia’s historic victory over Argentina in the first round of the 2022 World Cup. Practically in the last bid,
Ali Al Zaqan discounted for the visitors and gave final numbers. With the result, Al-Hilal resumed the leadership of the national championship, 16 points, one more in relation to the second-placed Al-Ittihad – current champion, the rival has Karim Benzema, Kanté and Fabinho.
