Bolsonaro’s daughter has a medical certificate not to take a vaccine

Regarding the alleged fraud on the card of Laura Bolsonaro, the daughter who is now 12 years old, the former president said that she has a medical certificate that exempts her from being vaccinated. Bolsonaro said that when the vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 years was released, she called the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) to ask about the side effects.

 “When the vaccine for children between 5 and 11 years old was released, I called Anvisa and said: ‘But here are the possible side effects, among others, palpitations, chest pain and shortness of breath,’ he said. Faced with the inconclusive response, that in this case, if side effects appeared, he should seek a doctor, Bolsonaro said he preferred not to vaccinate Laura. “So my daughter will not take the vaccine, because it is still experimental. And my daughter currently has a medical certificate and is exempt from having the vaccine.”

In the interview, Bolsonaro also said that the federal police, in the operation launched this Wednesday, 3, were courteous and there was no exaggeration or abuse in the conduct of the agents. Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, Bolsonaro’s former assistant, was arrested for allegedly acting in vaccine card fraud. The search and seizure orders at the former president’s house and the arrest of Cid and the other arrested persons were issued by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court.
