Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes, in decision signed today, made effective, immediately, sentence signed by him on April 22, against House Representative Daniel Silveira, in which he is condemned to 8 years and 9 months in prison, for criticizing the Supreme Court in a video. Daniel Silveira was the recipient of Presidential Pardon by Jair Bolsonaro, but the act is now, considered null by the Supreme Court.

Daniel Silveira

At the moment, Daniel Silveira is in preventive prison in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, due to not comply with Cautelar measures determined by the Supreme Court and will, serve both sentences cumulative.

Daniel was also sent to medical review prior to his transfer to a Federal prison.

The people of Brazil has witnessed a series of decisions based in arbitrary moves. The Justice System has been compromised and in disbelief, the people wait for the day things like this won’t happen again.
